Meet the ADI Board of Directors

Michael Kaufmann brings more than three decades of executive leadership experience in distribution, operations, finance, board leadership, and public company governance to his role as Chairman of the ADI Board. His extensive background leading large-scale organizations provides valuable strategic insight and guidance as ADI continues its evolution as an independent public company.

Mr. Kaufmann served as Chief Executive Officer of Cardinal Health, Inc. from January 2018 to September 2022. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Cardinal Health, Inc. from November 2014 to December 2017 and as Chief Executive Officer of the Pharmaceutical Segment of Cardinal Health, Inc. from August 2009 to November 2014. Previously, he was Group President for the Medical Distribution businesses of Cardinal Health, Inc. from April 2008 until August 2009. Mr. Kaufmann served in other executive positions with Cardinal Health, Inc. from 1990 through 2008, and prior to that he worked for nearly six years in public accounting with Arthur Andersen.

Mr. Kaufmann’s operational expertise and broad experience as a former senior executive of a major healthcare services and products company make him a valued asset to the Board. His knowledge of distribution businesses and supply chain management provides the Board with critical insights. In addition, having previously served as Chief Financial Officer of a large public company, Mr. Kaufmann brings significant finance and accounting expertise to the Board. Mr. Kaufmann qualifies as an “audit committee financial expert” as defined by applicable SEC rules. He is also a seasoned board member, having served as a director of Cardinal Health, Inc. from January 2018 to September 2022, and currently serves on the board of MSC Industrial Direct.
