Meet the ADI Board of Directors

William Galvin brings more than 35 years of executive leadership experience in industrial distribution and supply chain services to the ADI Board. His extensive background leading global distribution organizations provides valuable insight into operational excellence, business transformation, and strategic growth.

Mr. Galvin most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Anixter International, a global distributor of network and security, electrical and electronic, and utility power solutions, which from 1975 to 2020 was a publicly traded company. He joined Anixter in 1984 as part of the sales and marketing organization and held several senior management positions before being named Chief Executive Officer in 2018. During his tenure, he led the organization through significant transformations, focusing on network innovation, sustainability, and geographic expansion.

Mr. Galvin currently serves on the boards of Integrated Power Services and EIS - Engineered & Industrial Solutions and serves as a Director and Governance Chair for Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep School. He also serves as an Operating Advisor to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R).

Mr. Galvin holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Manhattan College.
