James Olender is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at ADI, where he leads the company’s global information technology strategy and organization. In this role, James is responsible for modernizing and strengthening ADI’s technology foundation, ensuring IT capabilities support execution, operational performance, and long‑term growth.

A transformational technology leader, James is known for aligning technology strategy with business priorities and translating complex challenges into scalable enterprise solutions that drive efficiency, agility, and business performance. He partners closely with leaders across the business to prioritize digital investments, advance data and AI capabilities, and build high‑performing teams that deliver measurable impact.

James brings more than 25 years of experience leading technology organizations within large, global enterprises. Prior to joining ADI, he served as CIO at GE Vernova Wind, where he led technology strategy and transformation initiatives supporting a successful corporate separation. He previously held multiple senior leadership roles at GE Power and GE Transportation, including CIO positions responsible for enterprise technology strategy across engineering, commercial, and operational functions.

James is a Six Sigma Green Belt and holds certifications for SAFe® 5 Lean Portfolio Manager and SAFe® 5 Agilist. He was recognized as a CIO Magazine Ones to Watch Award recipient and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University at Buffalo.
